We are currently recruiting for a B Operator to work a 14x14 work schedule in the GOM area with a work terminal out of Boothville, LA.

Detailed Description
 

The ability to assist in operating production facilities with very little supervision, including but not limited to, safety, environmental, regulatory compliance's, testing, repairs and maintenance of  facilities, wells, production equipment, safety equipment and devices, measuring equipment, rotating equipment, materials (shipping and receiving).  Below are specific duties outlining the above mentioned responsibilities.

Can operate, maintain and repair most facility equipment, quarters and activities on a daily basis which include good housekeeping, parts and material storage, record keeping, shipping and receiving.  
 

Can operate, monitor, test, and maintain most processing equipment and safety devices from the wellhead to the sales line.  Can monitor the performance of wells and production, calculate daily rates, well testing, perform some trouble shooting, and monitor discharge water produced.

Calculation of gas meter chart volumes in accordance with AGA No.3 and liquid volumes in accordance with ASTM standards from meter and production areas.  

 

Can perform most testing and record keeping requirements by BSEE and USCG on the following:  weekly / monthly safety meetings, emergency evacuation and response plan, abandon platform, boarding personnel briefing on emergency procedures, etc. Can operate, test, maintain, repair and record keep most safety shutdown systems and devices in accordance with BSEE regulations and approved facility permit safe chart.  This will include such devices as control valves, actuators, sensors, pilots, and pressure, temperature and level controllers.  Ability to operate safety equipment including fire-fighting equipment, emergency supplies, survival capsules, navigational aids, and alarm systems in accordance with BSEE and USCG regulations.

Can operate and maintain most rotating equipment such as compressors, generators, platform cranes, pumps, winches, etc. in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations with little supervision.  Can monitor control panels, shutdown devices, liquid levels, flow rates, temperatures, etc. to keep them within the designed operating range.   

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.  The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and/or in high, precarious places.

 

Handles chemical injection assignments while ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment.
May be required to travel to worksite via marine or helicopter transport. Responsible for following safety procedures, testing safety equipment and recording results.  May be required to reside at worksite on a predetermined work rotation schedule.
