Facilities Engineer II

SUMMARY:

 

Responsible for all  engineering duties related to surface facilities.  Provide engineering, design, project  management, and construction supervision for new facilities and modifications /additions to existing facilities.  Provide engineering support to field staff, including foremen and superintendents.

 

Education/Qualifications:

 

Essential:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical, petroleum, civil).
5+ years’ experience with onshore upstream oil and gas surface facility engineering.

 

Desired:

Professional Engineer registration.

 

Requirements/Skills:

 

Essential:

Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with design, construction, and operation of upstream oil & gas surface facilities, including but not limited to gas gathering systems, separation equipment, stabilization equipment, heat transfer equipment, pumps, compressors, electrical, pipelines, etc.
Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, failure analysis, and well behavior as relates to facilities.
Demonstrated strong project management skills with the ability to properly estimate a project, as well as execute on-time and on-budget.
Effective communicator with all levels of the Company.  Excellent interpersonal skills.  Ability to work cohesively with other departments and co-workers, as well as external contacts.
Organized with excellent time management skills.  Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow-up.
Demonstrated ability to think clearly and quickly, focus attention on details without losing the big picture, and make decisions while under pressure/time constraints.
Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Working knowledge of regulatory requirements within the Appalachian Region (AR) across Pennsylvania and Ohio and ability to successfully communicate business requirements within that regulatory framework.
Valid driver’s license.

 

Desired:

Experience with CAD design.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Develop  engineering design from blank page to completed construction drawings and  specifications.
Design  and selection of all equipment.
Manage  facilities, including planning, cost estimating, scheduling and construction  supervision.
Provide  engineering support for foremen and superintendents, including support during  construction and start-up. 
Analyze  problems at existing facilities and generate solutions.
Function  as company representative, contract supervisor and inspector for construction  activities.
Provide  input to business plan, including project recommendations, cost estimates and economic  justification.
Perform  other engineering duties as required relating to facilities.
