HSSE Engineer

Job Description:
- Actively collaborates and participates as a valued member of the HSSE team to provide HSSE guidance, technical support and coordinate activities and processes across the Sabine Pass Liquefaction Facility.
- Reports to HSSE Manager
- Develop and implement major risk prevention/reduction initiatives in a safe, cost-effective manner. Example: LOPAs, Area Electrical Classification, OPB siting, relief system design, etc.
- Provide technical engineering guidance and support to SPLNG Business Units to ensure HSSE compliance requirements are met
- Assist in identification, implementation and oversight of process data perameters
- Provide engineering and technical support during incidents and incident investigations
- Assist/participate in regulatory audits and documentation of corrective actions

Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years engineering experience with direct involvement in health, safety, security, and/or environmental compliance in an operating refinery, chemical plant, LNG terminal, gas plant or petrochemical facility
- Basic knowledge of natural gas liquefaction, LNG transportation, storage, and regasification processes
- Bachelor Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline
- Proficiency in executing engineering calculations and concepts
- Exceptional technical writing skills (PSM program development experience preferred)
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Organized and able to manage multiple activities and programs in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy
- Must posess and/or be able to obtain a TWIC card and maintain in good standing status.
