General Description:
• The main function of the Laboratory Technician is to conduct routine analysis on raw materials, process streams, and products to verify and maintain process and product specifications.
• Will serve to assist with product verification - oil and gas industry.
• Work schedule: 2nd and 3rd shift, and candidates must be available to work both weekdays and weekends. This is a part time position. (Guaranteed 8 hrs. per week. Avg. 16 hrs. per week)
• Must be willing to complete a HireVue as first step in interview process.

Skills Required:
• Previous GC experience is preferred
• 2-4 years of experience in chemical manufacturing
• Position requires use of computers and data systems.
• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
• Basic knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries and diseases.
• Basic ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Duties include: Water Analysis - GC Testing - Sulfur Checks - Other QA testing as needed - Maintaining Lab Equipment Entry level lab technician position that would give you experience working in a laboratory.
• Complete required testing timely and communicate analytical results to appropriate departments.
• Timely generation of quality analytical data used in operational decision making
• Maintains quality control standards in olefins laboratory
• Product testing to verify product specifications are met
• Assists safety and environmental departments as required
• Maintains laboratory equipment and performs required quality assurance
• Responsible for testing and issuance of burning, welding and entry permits as need
• Provide required support for special projects and samples to facilitate optimum facility operations.
• Adherence to environmental and safety policies
• Work with Operations, Safety, Engineering, I&E, Environmental and Administrative departments to achieve facility metrics
• EH&S and Operational metrics.

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field OR equivalent experience
