Quality Manager

Overview:

New Tech Global is seeking a Quality Manager for a oil/gas client.  This is a full-time opportunity based in Ohio.  This position is responsible for ensuring consistent quality of production by developing best manufacturing practices and validating processes. 

Responsibilities:

Interact with customers, management, manufacturing staff, engineering, and technical teams.
Ensures proper standards and policies are being followed.
Achieves quality control operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans.
Partners with manufacturing engineers to develop QC Plans. 
Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
Manages all gauges and validates their calibration, use, and application through systematic and documented controls;including calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, precision measurement tools, CMM, and VCMM.
Validates quality processes by establishing process and metrology specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence.
Maintains and improves product quality by completing process audits.
Assists in supplier quality management by compiling a list of approved vendors and suppliers based on their capabilities and abilities to meet manufacturing needs.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on quality experience in a production/manufacturing environment, including a minimum of 3 years supervising or leading teams.
Experience using CISO or similar compliance programs.
Strong computer and database application skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, analytical (Minitab) and flowcharting software.
Lean or Six-Sigma or other organizational effectiveness practices; LSS Green or Black Belt strongly desired.
Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) desired.
Prior experience with statistics, testing procedures, inspection, and sampling techniques is strongly preferred.
Experience changing QC organizational alignment, tools, processes, and methodologies strongly preferred.
