Responsibilities for the Sales / Account Manager

Research companies, identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business to using various sales methods.
Meet sales targets
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the comapny services and pricing structure as well as market behavior and competitive trends
Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations and follow up with key decision makers.
Develop and maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends and respond accordingly.
Formulate and execute sales plans to achieve targets.
Conduct face-to-face visits with clients to identify and scope new opportunities. Make initial contact with new clients, pitch services, make presentations, make site visits, provide lab tours, turn prospective clients into returning clients.
Generate, deliver, and follow-up on quotations; work with technical staff to develop appropriate workscope and convert opportunities into billable work.

Requirements for the Sales / Account Manager

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 2 years commercial experience in a client-facing role, preferably business-to-business sales of technical services.
