Senior Manager, Land Administration

Pittsburgh , PA

The Senior Manager, Land Administration is responsible for setting and executing direction relative to the department’s role as the steward of the Company’s leases and other land holdings, including the timely performance of payment obligations, definition of ownership interests, and mitigation of risks as they relate to those land holdings.


 Essential Functions:

Direct the daily activities and priorities of the Supervisor Contracts and Free Gas, Manager Lease and Record Support
In conjunction with key stakeholders, establish strategic direction for the department relative to its management and maintenance of lease, fee and other records associated with the Company’s land holdings
Resolve complex issues and mitigate risk relative to leases, deeds, right of ways, royalty payments, or division orders particularly for those areas that have broader departmental impact
Interface with Land, Legal, Production, Midstream, Finance, and other functions relative to execution of departmental objectives
Create/review reporting in support of various internal and external requirements including governmental agencies
Provide transaction support for contemplated and/or executed asset transactions as they relate to Land Administration matters
Respond to lease/owner inquiries that require escalation to the department Director


Required Skills:

10 or more years of progressively expanded responsibilities leading Land Administration or related functions.

BA/BS Degree required / JD Preferred; Candidates without a BA/BS degree may be considered with relevant work experience equivalency. 

Working knowledge of oil and gas software accounting systems (Enertia preferred).

Software:  JD Edwards, Aries, Microsoft Office Suite

Familiarity with oil and gas lease terms, obligations, revenue distributions and other items required to maintain an oil and gas lease.

Familiarity with oil and gas title.

Experience in the Appalachian Basin preferred.

Strong management skills and experience leading a large team.

Responsible for designing new procedures, processes and strategies.
